Denatured Alcohol
Denatured alcohol is ethanol (ethyl alcohol), which has been made unfit for human consumption through the addition of a denaturing agent. This denaturing agent is typically one or a combination of the following chemicals:
Bitrex (denatonium benzoate)
Methanol
IPA
N-hexane
Acetone
Ethyl acetate
TBA
Toluene
MEK
DEP
We denature ethanol in accordance with regulations in over 40 countries, including EU Directive 92/83/EEC (Article 27).
