Bulk Bourbon whiskey must be distilled and aged within the USA. In addition the mash bill must have at least 51% corn, and be distilled at no more than 160 proof.
The most famous origin is Kentucky, and in particular its straight (ie. aged for 2 years) Kentucky Bourbon.
